Koyal Rana - Femina Miss India 2014
Koyal Rana was announced the winner at the star studded Femina Miss India 2014 Final this weekend, and will represent her country in Miss World 2014.
The 51st edition of India’s premiere pageant kicked off with a bang as a short film recounting the previous 50 years of glamour and triumph was played, paying homage to historic moments in the past including Meher Castelino, the first Miss India and Priyanka Chopra, who since winning Miss World has risen to the top of Bollywoods fame ladder.
24 contestants took part in Sunday night’s final, which was judged by a host of famous faces including reigning Miss World Megan Young, actors Ahjay Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Designer Manish Malhotra and rapper Honey Singh among others
As well as winning the overall competition, Miss Rana also won the sub categories Neutrogena Femina Miss Healthy Skin and Beauty with a Purpose. 1st runner up was Jhateleka Malhotra, with Gail Da’Silva 2nd runner up.
